Inspiration

Dalis' Moustache was originally written for Round Seven of the 2010 Whittaker Prize. The prompt used was a picture (possibly Dali, possibly a moustache - I can't remember which). It was given a score of 72/100 by the judge, Catherine Edmunds, who remarked (with considerable prescience) that "You really need more 'meat' in this one to make it competitive, though it would work fine in the context of a collection." Well, here it is, I guess.

Publications

Dalis' Moustache was published by The Pygmy Giant on January 14th, 2013.

Notes

The episode of "What's My Line" referred to in the poem is well worth a look.
