Inspiration
Between the Lines was written for a 2007 poetry competition in Writing Magazine. I can't remember the exact subject, but I suspect it was probably something to do with Christmas. It didn't get placed.
Publications
Between the Lines was published in Issue 12 of Twisted Tongue, in November 2008.
Performances
I performed a staged version of this at the 2012 Allerton Players Christmas entertainment.
Notes
The irony of providing a commentary on a parody of Christmas newsletters on a website that includes a blog that is essentially a continuous rolling Christmas newsletter is not lost on me. I am, however, pretty shameless.
