All I can say is, I'm sorry. I know this is probably one of the reasons why several reviewers on GoodReads and Amazon have complained about the language. Well, that and Ali. But everybody else loves Ali.
Anyway, if you want to avoid this word in particular, basically keep well clear of page 40 in the paperback of The Truth About Archie and Pye, where there are five instances of it. But that's it. There are no plans to use it anywhere else.
