This story is based on a real incident in which I met an old friend at a college reunion who was now working on something seriously secret for the US government. I began to wonder (as you do) what would it be like if he was working on something ''really'' dodgy (which - I hasten to add - he obviously wasn't). This is the way my mind works, and you may wish to consider this next time we meet. You're all material, you people out there.
