Imitation of a Suicide was originally written for Round Five of the 2009 Whittaker Prize. The prompt used was a picture (possibly Millais's Ophelia?). It was given a score of 75/100 by the judges.
Placings
Imitation of a Suicide was highly commended in the 2009 Hastings International Poetry Competition. It was also shortlisted in the 2010 Slingink Prize.
